Backstory

While the entire story of Shukadikya's life before El Reno will forever be unknown, trusted sources have shared the following -

In approx. the early 1950s, the Artyomov family were well known within their small town in Russia. They were respected by others within the community, abided by the rules, were well educated and did not struggle for anything. Members of the family were expected to follow a straight path and not veer from the normal - so when two members of the family, first or second cousins, expressed their romantic interest in one another - it was not well received by others. They were immediately told to discontinue their fast moving relationship, however they refused. The two devised a plan in which they could continue expressing their love without disrupting the family, and fled deep into the forests. There, they built a small home by hand, and began living as though they were simply two in their honey moon phase. They began having children quickly into their life in the woods - though exact numbers for children cannot be pinpointed. Through the generations, the inter-familial relationships continued. Completely disconnected from the "real" world, away from the public eye, those born into this knew no different, and expressed affection the only way they ever taught, to the only people they ever knew. As there is no known number for how many children the first couple had, there is no information available to determine how many generations there were, who parented what children, or how they managed to survive in the early days. It is known however, that the family developed their own language, further disconnecting themselves from the public. 
In late 2018, the family was discovered. Though the depths of the situation were not immediately known, it was glaringly clear that there were issues. Unable to understand anything being said by those found in the woods, but noting the obvious problems, the family members were involuntarily admitted into a psychiatric facility. Multiple members were able to escape soon after being admitted, some passed away from illnesses contracted before they were admitted, and in the end few remained. Shukadikya appeared to be a "promising" member of the family, staff hoping she would be able to be reformed and lead a "normal" life eventually. She underwent DNA testing, at which time they were able to track down distant family members. One of these family members, possibly looking to appease the public and show face, welcomed her into their home. The family members name has been kept private through the changes, however it was revealed that soon after Shukadikya coming in to their home, they paid a large sum of money to have forged US documents created, and shipped her away to get her at such a distance from them, she would never return.
