Backstory: 

Rusty Rhodes was born in a small town in western New York state. His father Michael “Pops” Rhodes had 14 boys to 4 different women, he would always joke about spreading around. Rusty's mother, a petite woman named Wanda, was a school bus driver while Pops ran a diner.

Rusty discovered early on that he loved the road and the freedom it gave him. He went from bicycles to go carts to bikes to race cars, to find his addiction kept growing. Wasn't too long after he turned 18, he found himself racing the dirty tracks across the eastern seaboard, trying to get his chance to become a bit time racer. Three days after he turned 23 years old, he got the call from an owner. They needed a driver for a race and his name came up as being promising.

Rusty was ready and willing and now was his time to shine. Unfortunately that race would be the end of his career in the big leagues. A driver clipped his rear and sent him spiraling into the outside wall of the racetrack. Rusty suffered multiple fractures in his legs and his chest. Rusty spend almost 7 months having multiple surgeries to repair his broken body, but his spirit wasn't as easily mended.

24 years old and broken, Rusty spend a long time working to keep his mind off the good ol days. From one job to the next, one bad relationship after another, Rusty couldn't find what he was looking for, until his brother Joey showed up that day on his loud and road grime covered motorcycle. Rusty want to ride it and never look back.

Several years of riding around with different groups never brought Rusty fully to his old self until Joey had told him about his new MC, The Lost MC.

After his prospecting phase ended, Rusty had become a brother to the people who would show him that even broken inside, they would stand beside him. The day they flew into El Reno and Rusty had discovered that small diner along the road named Pops, he knew he was home.
