Backstory:
Marcus was born in Puerto Rico. His mother Puerto Rican, His father American. Marcus’ father was a United States Marine on leave. He met Marcus’ mother at a local bar. Young, Drunk, and dumb his father hooked up with his mother and went back to the states. Nine months later Marcus was born. Marcus spent the first two and a half years of his life in Puerto Rico. His mother was killed over the ten dollars in her purse. He was sent to the Los Angeles to live with his father who had only met him when he came to get him.
Throughout his childhood Marcus was a troublemaker. Getting suspended from school for fighting at a young age. Marcus got into the street racing scene when he turned Sixteen. He worked part time at a local tuner shop in L.A. Marcus made a name for himself in the racing scene quickly. Racing for pink slips and cold cash. Marcus realized he didn’t need school anymore and dropped out at seventeen. Full time mechanic by day. Street racer by night, Marcus was living the high life. Cars, women, cash he had it all.
By the time he was twenty-two he owned his own shop in L.A. Through some questionable decisions and a gambling problem he lost everything.
Trying to get everything back he borrowed money from the local mob boss. Stupid and young he kept everything in cash. And it was all stolen from him when his house was broken into. Not knowing what to do he packed what little cash he had left into a duffel bag full of clothes and got on a plane.
Not knowing where he would end up he knew he had to make some friends quick and figure out how to make some cash. He stepped off the plane and got into a cab. As the cab went down the highway, Marcus looked up at the billboard and it read Welcome to El Reno.
The next five years were spent building a family whom he trusted with his life. These individuals had the strengths to take over the under-ground market of running guns and illegal goods out of El Reno pushing out any competition and taking over. By the end of it all the ones left made it out well off, some left on new adventures, others chased a new beginning, some dead. Marcus made it out. Now he's spending his days working out of his shop retired from the underground scene.
How do they react to stressful situations?
